Cathedral City Part 2

The Cowgirls played three more games in Palm Springs, they beat Northwestern 4-3, and lost to No. 15 Arizona and No. 19 Oregon, both by scores of 8-0.

Cathedral City Classic Day 1

The first day of the Cathedral City Classic in Palm Springs, Calif., the Cowgirls lost to Pacific 5-0 the first game and beat BYU 3-2 the second game.

Lessons Learned

After having a rough 0-3 weekend at the ACC/SEC/Big 12 Challenge, the Cowgirls discuss what they learned from the tournament.

Rainy Day

On Saturday of the ACC/SEC/Big 12 Challenge, the team was rained out of the game against Georgia Tech. But that didn't keep them from getting some work in and having some fun.

Gloomy Weekend

The Cowgirls opened the SEC/ACC/Big 12 Challenge on Friday with two games against Virginia Tech and Auburn. They were shut out in both games.

On Saturday a huge storm moved into the area and the team was unable to get in a game against No. 23 Georgia Tech. However, they were able to get in some practice time at the Auburn softball facility. They hit in the batting cages and were able to work on some drills.

On Sunday the Cowgirls faced No. 2 Alabama and lost a tough game 3-1. Senior Kelsey Anchors hit her first home run of the season in the game. She was the only Cowgirl hit and run of the game. She threw off the Alabama pitcher's perfect game. The Cowgirl pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts in the game and didn't walk anyone.
